I am getting more and more excited over the prospect of my Blogcademy scholarship application! It’s going to be epically fabulous. It will be a documentation of me, my blog, my dreams… I can’t wait to get stuck into it with the special event I am planning! I will give you three hints: lanterns, glitter and teacups. And for the rest of it … well, you’ll just have to stick around, won’t you?!
It’s only just started to dawn on me how important my blog, my goals and my dreams have become. The things I’ve wanted have always seemed slightly out of reach – I’ve been to young, too poor, too lazy, too sad. The gargantuan shift of my mindset in the last year has really helped me to open doors that I was to scared to even walk past before. I don’t feel forced to act on my impulses and create new content – it’s just flowing naturally, with organic prompts and cues from the Universe that really make me believe she is backing me all the way. It’s an amazing feeling. I just want to share it with literally everyone. I want my community to be a huge, vibrant, buzzing, sparkly, silly mess.
But don’t get me wrong. I’m certainly not sitting around, waiting for Fate to fling opportunities into my lap. I’ve recently invested in a tripod and wireless remote. I’m schooling myself on the art of taking beautiful outfit photos. I’m devouring page after page on ‘engaging your audience’ and ‘editing video like a pro’. I’m also throwing myself back into the makeup world with gusto, and am about to embark on a crazy new venture with my darling sissy Boo Boo. There are no words to contain the light and fire that is sparking and crackling in my soul.
So, with tumultuous confetti-throwing and wild air-kisses, I want to karaoke-style my thanks to the Universe, and dance around my Things I Love Thursday list wearing nothing but a pink smile and crocodile shoes:

I can’t stop thinking about all the work that needs to be done. Websites. Pages. Instagram feeds. Filming. Photoshoots. Craziness. And the most difficult part in all of this, is that I’m sitting in an office feeling frustrated as the sun shines outside. I want to dye my hair hot pink and wear it in cascading cotton candy waves. I want to get my tattoo coloured while I’m dreaming about a second piece on my other arm. I want to teeter around in ridiculous shoes and take photos outside flower shops. I want to spend my afternoons at the art gallery and sip jasmine iced tea.
I need to make my dream a reality, because I’m allergic to the nine-to-five. I’m rejecting the crushing conformity. I detest the black-and-white. It’s time for change. Growth. Expansion. Fluidity.
